Position Summary

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, under the general direction of the Community Administrator or Designate, the incumbent performs a variety of administrative support functions such as word processing, composing routine correspondence, typing reports and documents from notes and recording devises, answering general inquiries related to programs and policies, data entry, filing and photocopying.
 
Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:
Grade 12 or equivalent. Successful completion of a one-year Applied Business Technology Certificate or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience. One year (1) recent related experience. Valid driver’s license

Skills and Abilities:
- Competency in computer knowledge including proficiency in software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, graphics and databases.
- Ability to type 50 wpm.
- Ability to use a recording device for transcription.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to organize work.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
