Position Summary

We are looking for a patient focused team player to fill a vacancy that we have within our team here at Royal Inland Hospital.

Royal Inland Hospital’s Perinatal & Medical/Surgical Department is a very active and busy unit. Our nursing team work collaboratively to provide outstanding perinatal and medical/surgical care. There is a great mix of services provided by this department, including 22 med/surg beds, acute medicine, gyne surgery, 10 formal private post-partum beds, mom and baby care, specialized care with methodone moms, and the little roots program. We are also part of a high-risk obstetrics hub and have a level 2B nursery – just to name a few! At RIH, we accommodate about 1,300 deliveries per year, and high risk antepartum patients to 30 weeks gestation.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC).

Advanced preparation in a Perinatal clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
Current Fetal Health Surveillance.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NPR) within 2 years.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 3 years.
