Position Summary

Construction of the David E. Kamp Tower, a new six-storey patient care tower, is underway at Penticton Regional Hospital and scheduled to open April 29, 2019. The new tower will be a world class facility in which patients from all across the South Okanagan region will come to receive health care.

David E. Kamp Tower will include a new Ambulatory Care Centre and offer a variety of specialized outpatient clinics together in one location. A new Surgical Services suite will feature five new operating rooms, three minor treatment rooms, two endoscopy rooms, and one cystoscopy room, in addition, to a fixed MRI suite and Nuclear Medicine suite.

Penticton Regional Hospital is seeking its newest member of the management team: Manager, Medical Device Reprocessing, Day Surgery and Surgical Clinics.

In this role, the Manager is accountable for ensuring excellence in the provision of patient-centered care within with Surgical Services program. The Manager provides leadership and direction for the operations, management, utilization, risk management, and quality improvement within the Medical Device Reprocessing, Day Surgery, and Surgical Clinics. The successful candidate will apply management theory and concepts to lead, staff, monitor, evaluate, and data gather including the development of relevant outcome measures pertinent to the clinical area(s). The Manager is accountable for efficient, effective utilization of approved physical, financial, and human resources; for guiding and coordinating activities of the area(s) in accordance with professional standards; and supporting the goals and strategic direction of Interior Health.

Education, Training, and Experience
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing; a Masters Degree in a health related field preferred
• A minimum of 7 to 10 years recent, related acute care experience with 3 years in a management/administrative position
• Current practicing membership with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professional (BCCNP)
