Position Summary

If you are a self-starter who works well independently but also within an interdisciplinary team, and have home health nursing experience, we have the opportunity for you to join our Community Care team in Williams Lake!

The Home Health Nurse practice supports the client’s achievement of safe, realistic and reasonable goals by assessing, planning, coordinating, organizing, implementing, evaluating and transitioning nursing and other care services for the client. In collaboration with the client, family and other care providers, the Home Health Registered Nurse develops, implements and adapts a care plan, delivers direct care, assesses service eligibility and provides care management to help clients manage their own care and navigate through the various services available within the community setting. The Home Health Nurse also works in consultation with other system partners and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

Community Profile: The growing community of Williams Lake is located amidst sparkling lakes and rolling ranch land in the heart of the Cariboo Chilcotin Region of British Columbia. As the largest city in the area, it serves as a business, industrial and service hub for outlying communities and provides employment opportunities in the forestry, mining, agriculture and tourism sectors. Home to the famous Williams Lake Stampede, this former “cow town” has grown into a vibrant city that offers its residents a comfortable blend of urban living and western charm. Horseback riding, river rafting, fishing and camping are popular recreational pursuits in the area.
