Position Summary

If you are a Practical Nurse who strives to make a difference in people’s lives by caring for them with compassion, dignity and respect, Interior Health has a great opportunity for a Community Care Licensed Practical Nurse in beautiful Kaslo, B.C.

This is a unique and varied role offering the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills in home health nursing, wound care, long-term care case management as well as in a primary care setting working closely with interdisciplinary health care professionals.

The Community Care Licensed Practical Nurse, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, performs assessments, plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to clients. Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.

This is a temporary part-time 0.75fte position until approximately August 2020. Shift times are: 08:30-16:12 and days of work are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday with Wednesday’s weekends and stat holidays off.

Qualifications

Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses and one (1) year of recent, related acute care or long-term care experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) required.
Current valid BC Driver’s License
