Position Summary

This Physiotherapy community rehab position receives referrals from the Penticton Regional Hospital to assist clients in the transition from hospital to home. Rehab therapy will be with clients in their own homes in collaboration with Occupational Therapy.

This is a relief, full time position until return of incumbent in January 2020. The position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits plan that includes coverage for basic Medical Services, Dental Services, and Extended Health. Local travel is required in this role within the Penticton area. Access to personal vehicle is required. Days of work are Monday to Friday.

Join a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team in providing physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of clients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable clients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. Contribute to the organization and the overall goals of the profession, department; participate in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provide work direction to the rehabilitation assistant working with the rehabilitation team.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
• Valid BC Driver’s license.
