Position Summary

Interior Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient and self -directed term specific full time Administrative Assistant to join the Administrative team at the Kelowna General Hospital (KGH). The term for this position is until January 29, 2021 or return of the incumbent.

Working in accordance with the established vision and values of the organization and as a member of the Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) Administrative Assistant team, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Executive Director, and the respective portfolio Director, Managers and Patient Care Coordinators/Educators/Specialists at KGH.

This is a ‘hands-on’ role, so, along with your organization, attention to detail, knowledge and skills, we are looking for a candidate that can make a difference and takes pride in their career to work in our fast paced environment. Qualifications

Education, Training, and Experience
• Successful completion of a recognized secretarial and/or business program and word processing program.
• Five years of recent, related experience in a senior administrative/secretarial capacity in one or more disciplines with the healthcare industry.

• Ability to type accurately at 50-55 wpm and produce letters, reports, and other documentation in a professional manner.
