Position Summary

Interior Health is looking for a Project Coordinator, Clinical Care Program Planning, Cariboo Chilcotin. This position is located in the beautiful community of Williams Lake. About the Role:

The Project Coordinator will lead and support the planning, development, and implementation and evaluation of strategic initiatives and projects, and clinical and business processes and practices, to support the development and sustainability of clinical programs within the Cariboo Chilcotin (CC). The Initiatives and projects include the CMH Surgical Services Program, CC Oncology and Ambulatory Care Programs, CMH Redevelopment Project, CMH Healthy Staff Initiative, and the CC Specialized Care Services and Primary Care Network Projects. The Project Coordinator will develop work plans, and monitor and inform on project and initiative progress and outcomes. The Project Coordinator also works closely with internal and external stakeholders to define and achieve the project objectives, scope, roles, and deliverables, and navigate constraints.

This is a temporary position until March 31, 2021.

Some Key Duties may include:

• Works collaboratively with the Clinical Operations leadership team in the Cariboo Chilcotin, and other internal and external stakeholders, to identify, develop, implement, evaluate, and report on the impact and outcomes of strategic initiatives and projects in the Portfolio.

• Provides leadership for the change management, project planning, implementation support, and creative problem-solving to support the success of the initiatives and projects.

• Acts on recommendations outlined from various reports i.e. past discussion, IH or provincial briefs or Networks direction, gap analyses and statistical reports, and promotes the expedited resolution to problems or barriers.

• Monitors, on behalf of the Clinical Operations Director, progress towards goals and objectives and identifying key factors that account for deviation from stated goals and objectives.

• Provides updates to the Administrative and Medical Directors on the implementation and issues of projects and initiatives. Prepares reports, briefings, and presentations as required.

• Liaises internally and externally with others including representatives with the Cariboo Chilcotin or other regions in IH. Supports and/or identifies opportunities to partner with other programs, regional entities, community agencies, and private partners in system redesign or care and service improvements.

• Throughout the term of the projects, coordinates the provision of support and clinical expertise to the site teams, including physicians and other stakeholders.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a health related field
• Five years of experience with involvement in project/change management, planning, implementation, and evaluation including three years of experience in Clinical Operations
• Experience with quality improvement and/or change management preferably in an acute and/or community care environment.
• Proficient in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel QI & Macros, Microsoft Word, Power Point, etc.).
