Position Summary

Interior Health is seeking a Project Coordinator, Interior Health Call Centre.

The Project Coordinator, Interior Health Call Centre works with internal stakeholders and contractor resources to develop and implement the project plans to establish and operate the Pandemic Response Coordinating Centre’s (PRCC) call centre. Responsibilities include:

• managing, defining, budgeting, and scheduling the contracted provider . Ensuring provider responds quickly to Health Authority needs
• creating standards and documentation regarding COVID-19 Screening and Testing within Interior Health
• acting as the primary liaison between the PRCC and Contracted Provider
• serving as a resource to directors regarding updates from vendor
• Monitor metrics and reporting statistical information to Ministry of Health, Interior Health.

This is a 1 year temporary position.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supervises contractors assigned to work on the call centre projects, bringing on additional Health Authority needs as required (for example lab, staff information).

2. Coordinates project tasks as required; meets with COVID-19 Collection Centre leads in order to monitor contractor compliance; identify resource requirements; identify project milestones and deliverables; perform feasibility studies and cost/benefits analyses; conduct project planning; maintain project documentation, evaluation criteria, and authorizations.

3. Maintains key metrics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of call centre activities.

4. Inspects and subsequently accepts or rejects work performed during projects by contractors to ensure Interior Health (IH) standards and specifications are followed. Works with contractors to developsolutions, as required.

5. Creates estimates and budgets, monitors expenses, conducts variance analyses, and prepares relevant reports for the Call Centre.

6. Assists in the evaluation, selection, and when necessary, recommends termination of agreements with contractors selected to carry out relevant project work.

7. Acts as the primary liaison between the Call Centre contractor and the IH PRCC.


8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications

Education, Training, and Experience
• Graduation from a recognized degree program in a clinical discipline such as nursing or allied health.
• Five years of recent, related experience
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, organize work, implement, monitor, and problem-solve.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large and complex projects involving numerous stakeholders.
• Ability to work with financial estimating and budget controls.
• Ability to drive a vehicle (must have a valid BC Driver’s license).
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
