Position Summary

Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) is the regional referral hospital for the Kootenay Boundary Health Servies Area. Perioperative Services has 5 surgical suites, 1 urology room, and the surgical services performed in here are orthopedic, general, ENT, Gyne/OBS, urology, plastics, dental, and opthamology. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 0715 – 2300 with on-call overnight and Saturday Sunday 0900 – 1700 with on-call overnight.

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC).

Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of perioperative nursing and one year recent related clinical perioperative experience in an operating room similar in size and scope to Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
